Creating your article layout page

Article layout is ideal for text-heavy content such as news articles, press releases, and speeches. Learn how to create article layouts.

Creating an article page

Click on Create new… followed by Page.

There will be two options - default and article. Choose Article then click on Next: Page title and URL.

Fill up the Page title and the Page URL will be auto populated.

Page URL can be edited by clicking on it.

Click on Start editing on the top right corner.

Editing the Article page header

This is the article page editor. Click on Article page header to start editing.

For article page header, you are able to edit:

  1. Article date

  2. Summary (mandatory)

  3. Category (mandatory)

    1. This will be the field that allow you to filter in collection layout, similar to Newsroom.

    2. This is case sensitive e.g. Articles vs articles, will create two different category filters.

  4. Image (Optional)

    • Functions as a thumbnail in the collection overview

    • Alt text is mandatory when including an image

Adding blocks

After saving changes to the header, go back to the main article editing page.


Click on Add block to start filling up your page.

To learn about each component's uses, hover your cursor over its section.

When a component is selected, it should appear on the right preview.

Required fields must be completed before saving. The "Save block" button will remain inactive (greyed out) until all mandatory fields are filled.

Meta settings

You can also edit the Page meta settings on the top tab.

  1. Meta description - page description that appears on search engine results below the page title.

  2. Indexing - When toggled on, your page will not appear in Google search results.

Meta settings determine how your site appears when shared or searched online, including its description and thumbnail images.
