Creating your article layout page

Learn how to edit article pages.

Creating an article page

Click on Create new… followed by Page.

There will be two options - default and article. Choose Article then click on Next: Page title and URL.

Fill up the Page title and the Page URL will be auto populated. Page URL can be edited by clicking on it.

Click on Start editing.

Editing the Article page header

This is the article page editor. Click on Article page header to start editing.

For article page header, you are able to edit:

  1. Article date (mandatory)

  2. Summary (mandatory)

  3. Category (mandatory)

    1. This will be the field that allow you to filter in collection layout, similar to Newsroom.

    2. This is case sensitive e.g. Articles vs articles, will create two different category filters.

  4. Image (optional)- This is as a thumbnail in the collection view. You will be required to insert an image alt text as well if an image inserted.

    1. Alt texts are mandatory.

Adding blocks

After saving changes to the header, you can go back to the main article editing page. Click on Add block to start filling up your page.

You will be able to see the list of available components. Hover over each component to learn more about its uses.

When a component is selected, it should appear on the right preview here.

If any required fields are empty, you will be unable to save the block. The "Save block" button is greyed out in this case.

Meta settings

You can also edit the Page meta settings on the top tab.

  1. Meta description - page description that appears on search engine results below the page title.

  2. Indexing - When toggled on, your page will not appear in Google search results.
