Requirements
Images to have a minimum 800px width. Images with an aspect ratio greater than 16:9 such as 1:2 are not recommended as they will result in long scroll e.g. 800px x 1600px.
The maximum file size for images is 5MB.
.webpformat is preferred because it provides better compression without losing much quality.If you have a very strong need for a moving image (commonly known as GIFs), use an
.png(animated png) file format. However, we generally discourage against moving images as they can be inaccessible and seem non-professional.
All images must have a descriptive alternate text.
Best practices for images
Provide a caption (separate from alternate text) whenever suitable
Avoid any text on images.
Infographics, when absolutely necessary, may be used. However, it must be accompanied by a description which presents the content inside the infographic in text format.
