Process overview

Phase 1: Training - Familiarisation with Isomer Next
Phase 2: Content Fixes - Review and correct automated migration issues
Phase 3: Preparing your site for launch - Final verification and sign-off
Phase 4: Site launch - Go-live preparation

More details of the 4 Phases can be found here

Phase 1: Training
You will have attended a training session covering Isomer Next features and functionality, followed by a briefing specific to your site migration. This ensures you understand the new platform before beginning content work.

Phase 2: Content fixes

Your Classic site has been migrated to Isomer Studio with most pages populated through automation. You'll receive access to your migrated site in Isomer Studio, a link to preview your site, and a report identifying pages needing manual review. Please review your entire website to fix formatting issues and verify that your content is displaying correctly before launch.

Phase 3: Preparing your site for launch

Once you've completed all content fixes from Phase 2, work through the provided checklist to ensure everything is ready. Notify the Isomer team when you're satisfied with your site's content and functionality and when this phase has been completed.

Phase 4: Site launch

The Isomer team will coordinate final cutover preparations together with your ITD, including DNS configuration and go-live procedures. Your site will then be live on Isomer Next.

Phase 2: Content fixes

After the training, you will receive:

  1. An invitation to access Isomer Studio where you’ll find your site

  2. A handover report

  3. A link to your preview site for you to verify your content

    1. This is not a staging site, it’s only available pre-launch.

    2. This preview site is not password-protected (please ensure that no embargoed or sensitive content is published on this site).

  4. A set of DNS records to be configured ahead of time

Handover report

You will be given a handover report similar to the one below.

Refer to the “Status” column:

  • Converted: Page content is fully migrated.

  • Not converted: Page content is not migrated as there’s custom html styling in it, or, page type is not supported. You will need to manually set up your page again.

  • Requires manual review: Page content is migrated, but there are formatting errors.

For the list of items to review and information on fixing these items, please refer to Handover report: items for review.

Phase 3: Preparing your site for launch

  1. Fill up the Site Launch checklist: go.gov.sg/isomer-sitelaunch-checklist, ensure all items are checked and ready for launch

  2. Ensure that your IT department has updated and configured the necessary DNS records sent to you in Phase 2

  3. Inform the Isomer team through [email protected] and title it “Project Streamline: [your site name] site launch”.

  4. Isomer team will review the submitted Site Launch checklist, and reply within 2 weeks with further instructions on the site launch preparation

    1. Should there be any outstanding issues to address from the checklist, it may lead to a delay in your site launch

Please note that Isomer team requires all items in the Site Launch checklist to be filled before proceeding to Phase 4: Site launch.

Phase 4: Site launch

  1. Once you have your site launch date:

    1. Set up the maintenance window on WOGAA and any other uptime monitoring tools, if any

  2. On the site launch day, Isomer team will contact you once the site has launched.

    1. Content owners are required to be on standby to verify the new site is up on the site launch day

  3. Congratulations! Your new site is live! 🎉
