Creating a database layout page

Click on Create new… followed by Page.

There will be three options - default, article and database. Choose database, then click Next: Page title and URL to proceed.

Fill up the Page title and the Page URL will be auto populated. Page URL can be edited by clicking on it.

  1. These fields can be edited later on even when the page is saved/created.

  2. The URL will follow the format of /folder-name/page-name.

  3. Character limit:

    1. Page title: 150 characters

    2. URL: 250 characters

Click on Start editing on the top right corner.

This is the database page editor.

You can edit the database page header by clicking on the section here.

Content page summary is mandatory. It can be a short description for users to understand the page content better. You can also choose to insert call to action buttons to the page header here.

Character limits

  • Summary: 300 characters

  • Button label: 50 characters

After saving your edits, you can now link your DGS data set.

Linking your DGS dataset

Click on Database under fixed blocks

Add in a database title to so users understand what data they're exploring. This is optional.

Click on edit and paste the relevant CSV dataset.

Preview and confirm that the right dataset was added.

Editing page title and URL

To edit the page title again, click on Page settings.

  • Character limit:

    1. Page title: 150 characters

    2. URL: 250 characters

Under Page settings, you can choose to rename the Page title and URL.
