Product Update - April '26

Customise your collection Overview pages, upload .docx files, and reorder folder sidebars

More customisation options for Collection overview pages

Preview your Collection overview page before publishing

You can now preview your Collection overview page before publishing it.

Go to your collection and click on Edit page to update your Collection overview page

With preview, you can now check the layout, content, thumbnails, dates, and sorting before making it live.

Show or hide thumbnails and dates

You can now choose whether to show thumbnails and dates across an entire Collection. This helps you decide how much visual and date information to show, depending on the type of content in your Collection.

For example, news-style Collections may benefit from dates and thumbnails, while policy or resource pages may look cleaner without them.

If thumbnails are enabled but an article does not have one, Isomer will automatically fall back to either your site logo or the first image in the article.

Sort Collection articles alphabetically or by recently edited

You can now choose how articles in a Collection are sorted. By default, Collection articles will be sorted by recently edited, so the latest updated content appears first.

You can also choose to sort articles alphabetically. This is useful for Collections like directories where alphabetical order may be easier for visitors to scan.

Upload .docx files

You can now upload .docx files to Isomer, so visitors can download editable Word documents from your site.

Do note that uploading .docx files comes with security and accessibility risks:

  • Malware: .docx files can carry malicious code that may not be caught by our scanner. Make sure you only upload files from trusted sources.

  • Accessibility: Not everyone can open .docx. It's difficult to view .docx files on mobile. Consider whether this affects your users.

Only continue uploading if you're comfortable managing these risks. Otherwise, consider converting your file into a .pdf instead.

Reorder folder sidebars

For pages inside a folder, Isomer automatically shows a sidebar with sibling pages.

You can now reorder these pages so visitors see them in the sequence that makes the most sense. This is especially useful for step-by-step guides or pages that should be read in a specific order.

In the index / overview page of your folder, click on Reorder siderail for this folder.

You can drag and drop the pages to reorder them.

Do note that if you are also using the child pages block, the order set there will determine the sidebar order. The child pages block and sidebar order should be kept aligned.
